Steganography Canvas

Hide and extract AES-encrypted secret messages inside image pixels.

Carrier Image

Upload Image

PNG, JPG, or WEBP

Secret Payload

The generated image must remain a PNG. Converting it to JPG or sending via WhatsApp will destroy the hidden message due to compression.

What is this tool?

Hides secret text messages invisibly within the pixel data of an image using LSB (Least Significant Bit) steganography, or extracts hidden messages from encoded images.

How to hide or extract secret messages

  1. To Encode: Upload a carrier image, type your secret message, and click 'Hide Message'. Download the resulting image.
  2. To Decode: Switch to the decode tab, upload an image previously encoded by this tool, and click 'Extract Message'.
  3. The hidden text will be revealed instantly.

Key Features

  • Client-side LSB (Least Significant Bit) pixel manipulation
  • Visually imperceptible data embedding
  • No external dependencies required
  • Works with lossless image formats (PNG)

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I use JPG for steganography?

JPG uses lossy compression, which permanently alters pixel values to reduce file size. Because this tool hides data in exact, specific pixel bits, JPG compression would destroy the hidden message. Only use PNG for encoding and saving.

Is the hidden message encrypted?

No, this specific tool only hides the data. Anyone using the same extraction algorithm can reveal the text. For true security, you should encrypt the text first before hiding it in the image.

Privacy First

All pixel manipulation and message embedding are performed mathematically in your browser's local memory. Images and messages are never sent across the network.
