What is this tool?
The AI Sentiment Analyzer evaluates the emotional tone of written text, classifying content as Positive or Negative with an associated model confidence score. It runs a quantized DistilBERT transformer neural network entirely within your browser via a client-side Web Worker.
How to analyze text sentiment locally with AI
- Type or paste the paragraph, review, or comment you wish to analyze into the input box.
- Click 'Analyze Sentiment' to initialize the local neural network pipeline.
- Wait a few seconds on initial run while the quantized model weights load into browser cache.
- Review the classification result (POSITIVE or NEGATIVE) and the percentage confidence score.
Key Features
- On-device natural language processing powered by Transformers.js
- Uses a quantized DistilBERT model fine-tuned on the SST-2 sentiment dataset
- Runs in a background Web Worker to keep the user interface smooth and responsive
- Model weights are cached locally in browser storage after initial download
- Instant sentiment classification with detailed confidence percentage metrics
- Zero server API latency after the model is cached
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my text sent to OpenAI, Hugging Face, or an external cloud API?
No. Unlike traditional cloud AI tools, all inference calculations are performed directly on your device inside a local browser Web Worker. Your text never leaves your computer.
Why does the first analysis take a few seconds?
On the initial run, the browser downloads the quantized model weights (~67MB) into your local browser cache. Subsequent analyses run near-instantly without re-downloading.
What machine learning architecture powers this tool?
It uses a WebAssembly/ONNX-optimized DistilBERT model (distilbert-base-uncased-finetuned-sst-2-english) via the Transformers.js runtime.
Can I analyze customer reviews, social posts, or support emails?
Yes. The model excels at short to medium English text such as reviews, tweets, testimonials, and customer feedback.
Privacy First
Model weights are fetched once from Hugging Face Hub and cached locally. All text sentiment inference is executed directly inside a browser Web Worker using on-device machine learning; your input text is never uploaded to any cloud server or API.
